Scorpions
Ансамбль "Скорпионс" образовался в 1965 году в Западной Германии. Исходный состав: Рудольф Шенкер (ритм-гитара), Михель Шенкер (соло-гитара), Клаус Майне (вокал), Лотар Хеймберг (бас-гитара), Вольфганг Дзигни (ударные). Группу основали ныне всемирно известные музыканты братья Шенкеры — Рудольф и Михель. Уже во второй половине 60-х "Скорпионс" были очень популярны у себя на родине в ФРГ, но желание стать звездами не менее как мирового масштаба не позволяло музыкантам расслабиться. Все эти годы певец Клаус Майне усиленно занимался изучением английского языка, без которого путь к музыкальному Олимпу закрыт для любой команды, как бы здорово она рок ни играла. И вот к 1972 году авторский дуэт Рудольф Шенкер — Клаус Майне подготовил большую программу, и первый англоязычный альбом "Скорпионс" тут же прорвался в хит-парады многих европейских стран. Это была первая "ласточка" немецкого хард-рока, дерзко посягнувшая на монополию англо-американских исполнителей. Но впереди были еще Соединенные Штаты — пик рок-Олимпа, которые долго сопротивлялись нарастающему успеху германцев. Американская публика, равно как и критика, игнopиpoвaлa продукцию "Скорпионс" вплоть до 1979 rода, но когда в продаже появился ныне знаменитый альбом "Любовная прогулка", их карты оказались биты. Попросту говоря, американцы не выдержали: настолько интересной и самобытной была новая программа группы, а их лирические баллады так брали за душу. С тех пор любая новая работа металлических "скорпионов" (а они, несомненно, являются одними из родоначальников стиля софт-метал) неизменно оказывалась в верхних строчках таблиц хит-парадов мира, не исключая и США. Эта западно-германская группа при помощи продюсера Дитера Диркса "пробила" дорогу на мировой рынок целой волне отличного немецкого хард-рока (Хеллоуин, Раннинг Уайлд, Варлок и другие), а их родина ныне незыблемо считается рок-державой № 3 вслед за Великобританией и США. О том, насколько полюбила американская публика неанглоязычную (что, как считают они, чрезвычайно важно) группу из ФРГ, говорит тот факт, что после трехлетнего перерыва новый альбом "Скорпионс" (1988) несколько недель единолично лидировал в самом престижном американском хит-параде "Биллборд". Группа дважды побывала с концертами в СССР, а это говорит о том, что не только коммерция ими движет. В СССР продавался двойной сборник ранних песен группы. Изменения состава: в 1973 году Михель Шенкер перешел в английскую группу "ЮФО" (позднее организовал свою группу), а на его место был приглашен гитарист Ули Рот. Некоторое время в "Скорпионс" барабанил Юрген Розенталь (из "Элой"), а современный состав ансамбля выглядит таким образом: Рудольф Шенкер, Клаус Майне (вокал), Маттиас Джабс (соло), Фрэнсис Букхольц (бас), Герман Раребелл (ударные).
